Currently serving as the Nighttime Economy & Responsible Hospitality Manager for the City of Dallas, he oversees a $15 billion nighttime economy supporting over 250,000 jobs. Edward is also the President of the Municipal Special Events Association, where he promotes best practices and innovation in municipal event management through the association’s annual summit, bringing together leaders from across the country and beyond.
Edward’s career began with the Savannah Police Department, where he earned the prestigious Medal of Merit and spent over 20 years specializing in special event management. He later served as Assistant Director of Special Events, Film, and Tourism for the City of Savannah, leading key initiatives such as the city’s Sociable City Assessment and the digitization of event operations. Under his leadership, the office managed over 1,000 events annually and a $1.5 million budget.
