John Adair

Administrative Analyst

John Adair is an Administrative Analyst for the Office of Nighttime Economy with the City of Sacramento's Office of Innovation & Economic Development. He has over 22 years of professional experience in customer service, sales, management, real estate, and working in nonprofit organizations. His immediate prior position was the Community Director for the 1801L mixed-use building in Midtown, Sacramento.

John graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA and started his professional career with The SportsClub/LA company, a luxury fitness brand now called Equinox. He was integral in opening the club in Beverly Hills, CA, and then relocated to Boston, MA, for a management position.

He was with the Midtown Association as the Director of BID Services and Communications for five years, continuing to make Midtown the center for culture, creativity, and vibrancy in Sacramento's urban core. He directed two Midtown restaurant districts and communicated with 900 local businesses, organizations, elected officials, and City departments. He has expertise with signature events, including Midtown Love, the Midtown Farmers Market, and Wednesdays at Winn, fundraised over $250K, created and implemented strategies including communications plans, directed public relations including crisis communications, helped grow social media accounts to over 80K combined followers, and acted as the organization spokesperson on over 20 media opportunities. John also worked as a Project Manager for Network Community Management, where he successfully managed community homeowner associations and clubhouses with over 2,500 units.
