Macarena Rau Vargas is an architect with a PhD in Architecture and Urbanism. She leads urban safety projects across Latin America and the Caribbean. In 2008, she founded PBK Consulting, helping governments and NGOs implement CPTED strategies. As president of the International CPTED Association since 2017, she has promoted 2nd Generation CPTED to enhance community safety and design. She is also the author of the CPTED for Women Guide.
