Downtown West Palm Beach, Florida reduced crime by nearly 50% in the downtown entertainment area in two years. Private security ambassador patrols and enforcement units work collaboratively to monitor nightlife activities and more effectively respond to emergency situations. The integration of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles, customer service, proactive security presence and consistent eyes on the street restored the public’s perception of Downtown West Palm Beach as a safe place to live, work and play.
