Because the industry is vulnerable to shifts in population, it makes sense to tap every source. Recently, an alternative labor pool has presented itself: older workers and the disabled represent tremendous sources of talent, but both groups have special needs and considerations. Older workers present many valuable attributes as they tend to be more stable, friendly and better with people. In addition to filing personnel needs, hiring handicapped workers carries tax benefits, as well.
